Soak in a cedar hot tub and Renu cold plunge nestled in an oak grove, then sleep in our A Frame or one of our two luxurious yurt-like tents. Venture into the clearing with open skies for truly amazing starry views at night. It's a peaceful retreat surrounded by pines and oaks, yet is still less than 15 minutes from the historic Gold Mining towns of Nevada City and Grass Valley. A composting toilet is housed in a beautiful, well maintained outhouse and a heated outdoor shower is located next to the hot tub and cold plunge. These as well as the hot tub/cold plunge area are shared between our two sites. PLEASE NOTE: While many guests have found each spot to feel private, it's important to mention that these are located in a large clearing behind our house. You'll have ample space and privacy, with the added convenience of having someone nearby if you need anything. Distance to local attractions: Nevada City (11 minutes) Grass Valley (14 minutes) Yuba River (25 minutes) Scott’s Flat Lake (10 minutes) Cascade Canal Hiking (3 minutes) Hoot’s Trail epic mountain biking (17 minutes)

Ponderosa

100% (51)
Bell tent · Sleeps 2
This site features a chandeliered yurt-like tent sitting on a platform deck tucked between towering ponderosa pines. It's fully furnished with a large king bed. Your private outdoor table and chairs is located a few steps away. We always provide luxe robes and bath slippers to make it a really special spa experience at no extra cost. :) Please note we are Bring-Your-Own-Bedding unless you select the Bedding option at check-out. Bring your pillow cases, sheets, and comforter/sleeping-bag. Using your own bedding reduces the environmental impact of laundering sheets for every stay, and helps keep your trip affordable. Either way, we provide mattresses and pillows. A composting toilet is housed in a beautiful, well maintained outhouse and a heated outdoor shower is located next to the hot tub and cold plunge. These as well as the hot tub/cold plunge area are shared between our three sites. Check in time is 2PM, and check out time is 11AM This tent is closer to the house than Cedar, but is a shorter walk from parking (less than a minute walk). Ours is a great spot for people who want a nice, cozy place to sleep, but plan to be exploring Nevada City/Grass Valley, enjoying local festivals, or hanging out at the Yuba River for most of their visit. We do not yet have an outdoor kitchen, but you are welcome to bring a camp stove. Cedar

100% (29)
Bell tent · Sleeps 3
This site features a chandeliered yurt-like tent sitting on a platform deck partly shaded by a lush incense cedar. It's fully furnished with a queen bed and futon. We also have a shady hammock spot + tree chair for loungers and readers. It is a little more removed from the main house than our Ponderosa, so you can have a greater sense of privacy. There is a bit of a walk downhill from parking - about 300 ft. It sleeps up to three people. Please note we are Bring-Your-Own-Bedding unless you select the Bedding option at check-out. Bring your pillow cases, sheets, and comforter/sleeping-bag. Using your own bedding reduces the environmental impact of laundering sheets for every stay, and helps keep your trip affordable. These as well as the hot tub/cold plunge area are shared between our three sites. Check in time is 2PM, and check out time is 11AM. This tent is further from parking (2 minute walk downhill) than Ponderosa, but it's also more secluded from the main house. A Frame Tiny House

100% (21)
Tiny home · Sleeps 3
**Please note that this is an off-grid cabin, and therefore can take a little more work during your stay (ie managing a fireplace for heat, running air conditioning for only a few hours a day, hand pumping water for dishes, keeping an eye on energy use)** Enjoy a private, cozy, unique A Frame, complete with solar powered air conditioning, fireplace, as well as a refrigerator, sink and propane camping stove in the tiny house kitchen. This place truly is a magical nook of a getaway! The lofted full-size bed sits under a giant window with a fantastic view of the starry night sky. Downstairs, you'll find a cozy couch futon and table.
