Weekend Trip to Glitter Cove Retreat

There is so much to say about this site, however I doubt I'll be able to think of it all into words. For starters, the host Cindy and her husband are so welcoming, kind, and quick with communication which made it so easy to settle in. They have a very well maintained and beautiful dirt road leading to the camp site, but do go slow. The views from the pergola were absolutely STUNNING, we couldn't help but unwind out surrounded by nature enjoying the birds singing and the gentle sounds from the river. The pergola itself was absolutely gorgeous, they truly thought of everything to make this the most amazing retreat from busy day to day life! This wasn't just an amazing get away for the adults either, the kids had an absolute BLAST playing in the river, gold panning, exploring and more. I do suggest bringing water shoes if you're planning on going up the river as there are sharp rocks and definitely don't forget sunscreen! This truly couldn't have been a better getaway for us all, we are definitely coming back and I'll be recommending it to anyone who will listen!

Weekend Trip to Sequoia Highland Camp

What an AMAZING place this was! My son and I stayed for a weekend here and had such a nice time. The property was well kept, the yurt was beautifully decorated and the little “kitchen” station had everything we needed for meals. The bungalow was super cool and would be a great amenity for a large group visiting. The star of the show was the sunset spot, an unbelievably GORGEOUS place to witness at the end of the day. There was even a super cute swing to sit and enjoy! I will definitely be planing a visit here again. Thank you for the wonderful experience and memories! ♥️

3 nights at Musick Creek Falls

I organized a group trip for a milestone birthday and this spot could not have been better! We rented all 4 spots on Shandie & Jesse's property. Lower Falls is an amazing camp site, especially if you want to gather a larger group. We had 3 families set up at this site for the weekend, and there was plenty of space. The views are outstanding -- amazing place to watch the sunset. And the entire property is out-of-this-world amazing and Shandie and Jessie could not have been kinder and more helpful hosts.

Weekend Trip to Country Comfortable

Camping with our family at Mona's campsite was our best choice. She helped us from the moment we made our reservations to our last day. We took a trip with a lot of children and they had a great time in the water, playing in the sand and running around. Mona, thank you for providing us with a wonderful weekend where we created many wonderful memories. See you soon!

2 nights at Glitter Cove Retreat

This was the perfect getaway. We were two couples with 5 kids under the age of 8. We did have a tent as well but it was so much more than we ever expected. Cindy is really great at communicating in a timely manner and keeps the place fully stocked of all the essentials. We door dashed ice one day too, no issues. The boys fished and caught tadpoles. You’re just steps from the river. Her place is super clean and off grid. Can’t wait to come back!!

1 night at Musick Creek Falls

The hosts are such lovely people and the property is amazing. They brought a barrow of fire wood right to our site's fire pit, shared the history of the property, and talked about the sustainable practices/resources. Shandie is so responsive to the chat/inbox, which is also a huge plus. They both seem so genuine and kind hearted, and are quick to anticipate potential needs. We appreciated that the picnic table was under a canopy. We were excited to see that the canopy included bug screens, but we didn't need them. Our view of the sunset from our tent was breathtaking and the spring water was delicious. The chorus of wildlife and rush of water lulled us into peaceful sleep under the beautiful starry night sky. The falls are so pretty and the pool in the stream was refreshing - it's also a healthy thriving ecosystem! (We found caddisfly larvae and dragonfly numphs! These macro invertebrates are indicators of healthy stream ecology). We unfortunately only stayed for one night due to a tight schedule, but absolutely want to go back next time we are on this side of the country! I highly recommend camping here. My only suggestion is spending several days instead one night to make the most of everything the property has to offer!

This secluded Hip Camp spot was amazing! They had a lot of things to offer like the sunset spot, star gazing, and a pond. The host was very responsive and helpful for had to revise my revelations a couple of times. Would recommend this place for its uniqueness.

Weekend Trip to Sierra Foothills Ranch -722 acres

Our group loved the Whole ranch, it was perfect for us. This Ranch is good for groups it already has a Pavilion for gathering. A big Kitchen to cook and store your food… The land is beside a river good for swimming… Restrooms and hit showers are also available… Overall all we have a very good experience… And Gary was very understanding and took very good care of our group.. I would definitely recommend this place.. Thank You Gary!

Weekend Trip to Outdoorsy Yosemite

This site was very clean! The hosts were the friendliest most helpful hosts I ever encountered at a camp site. One thing to mention… This is an extreme bear watch area. We happened to see a bear walk through the campsite and that was intense but so magical! This site has much to offer with a pool, simple foods, and a huge campfire for all. I will definitely come back and recommend it to my family and friends.

The spot designated for camping is just a weedy little area with a table and fire pit. No shade , come prepared. BUT, the river makes up for it, it really does look like paradise, I Pleasant put my lawn chair there and let the dog roam. I’ll post a video. The outdoor shower and tub are very cool, but, there are two airb&b sharing it so you might want to wear a bathing suit or be surprised by visitors if you’re naked.

We are located between both, so you have the best access to both attractions here! There are wonderful views down into the valley with off-the-chain sunsets and city lights twinkling in the valley distance! Come get away from it all and enjoy the wonderful beauty and quiet serenity of mother nature in the South West Sierras at Sequoia Mountain Farms!!! Welcome Hipcampers! PLEASE read all of the below before booking and screenshot/print the directions below. Please note we have different site types with different prices and capacities. Choose the type that's best for your group. We are outside of Bear and Marmot areas, so no Bear cans needed here. However, we are not far away and nature is wild and can be unpredictable sometimes, so please keep food in your car at night as a precaution. We have not had issues and we don't want to invite any! Hot showers, flushing toilets, deep sinks for washing and WIFI (over 70 mps in many places for you teleworkers) now available for all campers at no extra charge! ARRIVAL: THERE ARE 3 GATES HERE: RIGHT GATE: just to the right of the Giant Sequoia Tree with address sign, goes to the CAMPSITES! Look for ORANGE CONES a few feet off the highway and drive down camp road about 600 feet to the camp. MIDDLE GATE: RV1 and RV2 LEFT GATE: house, please DO NOT ENTER this gate or approch the house. DIRECTIONS: If you put our address in to navigation apps, sometimes it brings you to our neighbors (fire department) for some reason, even after multiple emails to google...if this happens come south/down hill about 600 feet and look for the ORANGE CONES on the same side of the road. Drive between them and down camp road to your site! (There is a pic of the site map in the posted pic's) Go to Google Maps (NOT GOOGLE SEARCH). Search for Sequoia Mountain Farms Campground. Navigator apps sometimes push folks coming from the south up the 245 highway. It is a very windy and slow climb up the hill. It is doable (even for bigger rigs), but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND continuing north on highway 99 towards Fresno and then heading east on highway 180 up the mountain. It's faster, much more scenic and a much smoother drive. This route also goes right by the nearest gas station on your way up! Heading east on highway 180, out of Fresno, the last gas station is a Valero at 35468 E Kings Canyon Rd. (aka Clingan's Junction). From Clingan's, head east on the 180 for exactly 13.8 miles to the 245 highway (it comes up quick with only 1 or 2 small signs), make a right, heading south. If you hit the park entrance, you went too far, turn around drive back about 5 min and look for the 245 on your left. Once on the 245 heading south, go 5.1 miles. On your right you will pass the 'Pinehurst Lodge', which is on google maps, an easy reference point and is 1 minute or less away (great food, bar, pool table and karaoke on weekends in the summer!). Then a few seconds later the U.S Forest Service "Work Center" is on the right and we are just past that on the same side of the road. First you will see a Giant Sequoia Tree in the front yard (campground road is just to it's right with ORANGE CONES on either side) then an apple ranch with an ole loggers cabin chimney from the late 1800s still standing in the front yard directly off the highway! If you hit the 'leaving sequoia national forest' sign and the community center, you went too far, turn around and drive 1 minute back and look for the apple ranch on your left, pass it and turn left at the ORANGE CONES. Please take note of the posted pics from directly across the street facing what you will see when you get here. PLEASE CHECK THE WEATHER: If you ask us about weather, were just going to have to look online too, so please be sure to check it yourself prior to your trip, before asking us to do it for you. Just know we are operating under the assumption that you are aware of the conditions and are prepared for them. If nature happens message us and we will do our best to assist! Nestled in a lush pine forest on the western shores of Shaver Lake, Camp Edison has been a beloved vacation spot for generations, welcoming visitors year-round. To enhance public safety and promote forest health, Camp Edison has been actively removing insect-infested trees. As a result, some campsites may offer more sun exposure than previously indicated in site descriptions. With electricity available at all sites, campers can enjoy the perfect blend of nature and convenience. In addition to its beautiful surroundings, Camp Edison provides easy access to a variety of outdoor activities, including swimming, hiking, and fishing. Experience the charm of our campground, where we warmly welcome RV rallies, motorcycle gatherings, tent campers, and caravans, ensuring that no group is too small or too large for us to accommodate. Nestled within lush lawns, shade trees, and vibrant flowers, our camping areas provide a tranquil environment that promotes a safe and enjoyable camping experience. For your convenience and peace of mind, we offer a centrally located picnic area, and our dedicated caretaker resides on-site to assist you. In case of inclement weather, we have paved, graveled, and sheltered areas available to keep you comfortable. Each campsite is equipped with electric and water hookups, along with access to clean restrooms and showers. Additionally, easily accessible dump stations are provided for your convenience, and portable picnic tables and benches are available upon request. For group activities, we have meeting halls available, with or without kitchen facilities, to cater to your needs. Individual camping operates on a first-come, first-served basis, while groups are encouraged to make reservations to ensure availability. Overview

Fresno is the gateway to some of the most breathtaking scenery in California. Within 100 miles, you can camp under towering sequoias or next to Yosemite waterfalls. Or, stay close to home with a quick RV park getaway to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

Paddle, swim, and fish year-round at one of the lakeside campgrounds in Fresno County. Hidden View sits on Hensley Lake, which is popular with water skiers and anglers. Hike and bike 40 miles of shoreline at Millerton Lake State Recreation Area. At Island Park, you can camp in the foothills and jet-ski on Pine Flat Lake.

For sites with shade trees and mountain hiking, drive east into the Sierra National Forest. Forest Service campgrounds like Wishon Bass Lake have picnic tables and fire pits. Dorabelle is known for its excellent trout fishing; you can also hike and ride horseback. To save a bit of money, head for the free Bear Wallow dispersed camping area near the Kings River.

If it’s scenery you’re after, you can’t beat Yosemite National Park. Book well in advance to get a site in the spectacular Yosemite Valley. To the southeast, explore a forest of giants at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Choose from 14 campgrounds, many with tent and RV sites.

Camping in the lowlands or foothills? Plan for hot summers and pleasant Winters. As you go into the Sierra Nevada, temperatures drop; bring warm layers year-round. Many high-elevation campsites close in the winter, but you can book cabins and yurts.
