Centered in the beautiful North Carolina countryside of lush green rolling hills with picturesque farms, oak and magnolia trees, this property has three acres of pasture and four acres of trees. I have dry camping with water, electricity and $45 a night full RV hook ups. I've been a full time Artist and Teacher for 30 years and have a AgriTourism 40’x72’ Barndominium, (it's still a bit of a construction site) with a 1,250 sq ft. Art Studio for creatives of all types opening In Raleigh, NC there is the NC Museum of Art, Marbles Children's Museum and Natural Sciences Museum, DPAC performing arts in Durham. You can visit Duke University Cathedral in Durham, University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and NC State in Raleigh. Shop at Raleigh, Louisburg and Henderson Farmer's Markets or take a Raleigh Guided Historical Tour. Downtown Raleigh is beaming with excellent restaurants, breweries, music and night life. There are petting zoo's, Wild ponies on the Outer Banks, The North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, Local Alpaca Farms to visit and many live music and dancing venues. There is Falls Lake, Kerr Lake, Lake Jordan and Lake Gaston for fishing, swimming and water skiing. In two hours and 15 minutes you can be in Mt. Airy the original Mayberry of the Andy Griffith Show. Or stop and pan for gold and gems on your way to Asheville, NC. Or stop by Cherokee, NC for famous Maggie Valley or their Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Located 30 minutes from the VA state line, highway US #1 and Interstate 85 are 15 minutes away. 45 Minutes north of Triangle Town Center Mall in Raleigh, NC, three hours from Wilmington/Atlantic Beach, NC for surfing, deep sea fishing boat charters and beautiful beaches. We're four hours East of Ashville/Smokey Mountains and the famous Biltmore House, NC. We're four hours from fun Myrtle Beach, SC and five hours North of Historic Charleston, NC and 3.5 hours from The Smithsonian National Museum of History and the White House in Washington DC. In NC we're three hours from Charlotte, NC, 90 minutes from Greensboro/Winston Salem, NC, one hour to Interstate 95 south in Wilson, NC, 45 minutes North to Interstate 95 in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Dry tent camping is $18 per night with a weekday 20% discount. RV's with full hook ups are $45 per night. There are three acres of pasture and four acres of trees to spread out in for each camper to have a 25’x30’ bare ground site. Guests have a choice to dry camp in open pasture or under trees. There is a central location for water and electricity to charge devices and a Porta Potty available nearby. It’s very quiet and full of birds, deer, butterfly’s and squirrels.

Almost Heaven's Gate

Heaven's Gate RV Sites - Full HU

This site gave us what we needed, which was a quick overnight halfway to our eventual destination; however, there were no clearly marked sites; the only permanent part of the "full hook up" was the sewer pipe - water and electric was run from a neighboring site with an extension cord and extra hose (dirty). The host indicated that her lawn mower had "just broken down" but it was pretty apparent that the grass, which is where we had to park, had not been mowed this season - the grass was almost knee-high. The host was very nice and helped us get what we needed for the full hook up. The site was very quiet.

Heaven's Gate RV Sites - Full HU

We were very comfortable at Heaven’s Gate. We were greeted promptly by Eileen the host upon arrival. She had every supply for hook up in the event we needed it. Our spot was spacious and it was a pleasure waking up to the chirping birds each morning. The lighting on the property was especially nice!

Serenity! We were very comfortable with the peacefulness that surrounded us. Hearing the birds singing most of the day was quite relaxing. We loved how our site was lit up at night allowing for a comfortable walk with the dog. The host was very welcoming and was there upon our arrival to greet us👍🏼

I loved hammock camping here at Eileen’s Barndo. She’s got everything from basic tent amenities to full hook-ups. Wonderful host, amazing personality & very passionate about her future plans to make this one of the best HipCamp’s East of the Mississippi. Cannot recommend this wonderful place enough.

Our host, Eileen, was quick to respond and was most gracious to meet us in the dark making sure we had everything we need. We paid extra for water & power, a most welcomed option. It was a quiet, peaceful location and would not hesitate to return in our travels south

Eileen is a delightful person and very gracious host. She accepted my last minute reservation, within a half hour of arrival, after dark, and treated me like an old friend. The directions and communication were prompt and very helpful. A safe, quiet, cozy place to stay with awesome budding art studio. Looking forward to returning.
