Kauilani is incredibly responsive to messages and encourages feedback about the campsite. We had no constructive criticism to offer because everything exceeded our expectations. From the solar lantern on the picnic table to illuminate the campsite to the impeccably clean hot shower and flush toilet, our stay was very enjoyable and we would certainly return. We recommend the bonfire / firewood add-on because Kauilani provides a Solo Stove with a wind-proof lighter, fire starters, a Duraflame log + hardwood logs in a waterproof tote tub to get your fire going quickly and effectively. Our fire burned for hours even through several bouts of rain. Lastly, we were impressed that there was a nice, large stainless steel utility sink, water spigot in our site, and not a whiff of mildew on the shower curtain or in the restroom - it actually smelled quite pleasant! Lastly, Kauilani provided a detailed list of recommendations for local establishments and was very warm and welcoming. We highly recommend the Mangrove Lounge!

This is a nice place with a nice host, who is very accommodating. There are lots of little perks, such as subtle lighting, warm shower, great portable solar lamp, potable water, tarp, hammer, and pegs etc.., plus the most amazing dawn chorus from all the birds and gentle lapping of the nearby brackish water.
For one person it’s definitely too expensive @$85 per night +taxes & fees. Much better value for a group or family. At this price it’s appropriate to have more than one toilet on site. You do feel secure here, and there’s excessive 0 mph signs on the way in. Trust me, if a rogue gust of wind makes your car go to 3 mph, you’ll receive feedback.

This is a lovely place to stay with a great host. We loved our spot down by the ocean and only wished for one more night. The hot showers were a nice treat after three days of beach showers. Highly recommend this stay.

We loved staying on this property!
Very beautiful property and welcoming host .
Bathroom and shower was a neat set up very clean ! Property was very easy to find with the directions . Great location to explore the north shore . Host was very quick to answer and very helpful with suggestions!
Price is a bit steep especially if you are already renting a van compared to other HipCamps . Was hoping to be a bit closer to the beach .

It was a really nice campground. The owner set up everything we asked for really well and provided extra stakes that were helpful as I forgot the ones for my tent. The river is good for paddle boarding and had a good launch area to the ocean. We were the only campers there so that was a plus as we got the shower and site to ourselves. Would recommend!

The location on the north shore is very central and convenient. Even with other campers on the property we still felt like we had our own little corner to hang out. The campsight is very peaceful except the ubiquitous Hawaiian wild chickens in the morning. Kauilani was always super responsive and helpful. She kindly suggested several restaurants and beaches for us to explore that were spot on. I would recommend this location to anyone with RV or tent to stay at.

We loved our time here! Location is fantastic-- quiet, fun fishing and close to the North Shore beaches for swimming. The host was very communicative and helpful. Shower and bathroom/sink was great as were the platforms. It's really quiet at night (other than the sound of waves!). During the daytime there was some construction noise from across the river but that didn't bother us at all.

Good communication on how to arrive and take it slow on the shared driveway to the camping area. Great location to explore the area. Bathroom and shower were unique and private. We enjoyed our one night stay and would stay again.

My husband and I stayed here with my good friend and we absolutely LOVED it. Kauilani was so sweet and helpful during our stay. The heated shower was a huge seller for us and it worked amazingly. Also, having the option to rent a tent and other supplies was so handy. This is our new go-to spot when staying on Oahu! Thank you so much, Kauilani!

Very close to the water. Sites are spread out. Very nice bathroom and shower. Clean grounds. Did not expect a welcome bag from the host. Very sweet. Great communication. Highly recommend!

It was a peaceful place for camping. It was closed to the seashore(the river and sea water encountering) we enjoyed the sun set. Although we had no camping facilities they already set up tent and mattresses etc. The beddings were super cozy and clean. It rained all night but no rain drops got into the tent. Outdoor shower and toilets were good enough. It would have been better if there had been simple kitchen facilities there. But Kauilani gave us a detailed local restaurants information, we could enjoy a beautiful dinner. We would like to visit again if we come to Hawaii again.

We stayed at four other campsites while visiting Oahu and Kauilani’s land was definitely one of our favourite stays! She was so kind and welcoming. The campsite had all the amenities we needed- private bathroom, hot shower, sink for dishes, a great wooden deck, a picnic table, and privacy. It was a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend this to others looking for a good place to camp!

This place was out first time on O'ahu. We got an unbelievable friendly and warm welcome. The Toilet and Shower was clean. There were Water every few Meters. Solar lights at night around the places ( not too bright but enough to find your way at night.
We recommend this place without any hesitation.
We will be there on our next trip.

My husband and I enjoyed this campsite so much, we’re already planning to come back next year. The campsite is close to shopping centers, restaurants, food trucks, beaches & so much more! We loved waking up to the beautiful views and sound of nature. Our host was very helpful and always responded quickly to any questions we had.

The place was decent but it was just incredibly over priced compared to other spots we camped at on the north shore. The host was very welcoming and it had warm showers but just far too expensive for what you get and feel quite ripped off

What a hidden gem! The location was amazing, 2 minutes from everything in downtown Haleiwa! Tons of awesome beaches just minutes away, and all of the shark diving/whale watching/turtle divs take off at the harbor 2 minutes up the road.
The hosts extremel nice! They rent out fire pits for an extra few bucks which as great, the owner was gracious to provide an ample amount offrewood each night! If I ever find myself back here in Hawaii I would stay here again!

Beautiful and peaceful. A getaway from the city but just 5 minutes to Haleiwa town. There is a whole community of people with which we have had short brief encounters with during our 4 day stay, all of which were actively making the land and sea a better place through their actions. Please come to stay at this property to support our people and our lands.
