With some time this place could be awesome! I ended up not staying here due to the site not having a fire pit, picnic table was completely dry rotted and the biggest issue was that the river was super low (only my feet would have gotten wet if I got in) the river was also blocked on both side by trees that had fallen. Even if the river was high i wouldn't have been able to kayak like I wanted for my birthday. Kimberly was extremely nice and understanding of the situation and refunded me my money since I didn't want to stay once I had arrived and booked a place elsewhere. They had Hurricane Helen come through last year and haven't had the time to get everything fixed just yet. Once it's all fixed up I'm sure it will be a great place to stay!! Bonus the site does have potable water and electricity :) I'd be willing to stay in the future once it's ready to go! Oh last thing the dirt roads to reach it are pretty rough so just have to drive slow and steady.

I think the yurt was absolutely great for a glamping trip. It had all the amenities you could want and even extra. I will say that it was a little difficult to get to but Kim's instructions work extremely helpful. I do suggest that you use a truck or a Jeep not that a car can't get down there but it's just easier. I think it would be really even much better once some of the debris from all the flooding and hurricanes is taking care of so that you can enjoy kayaking down the river unblocked but there is much woods to explore and it's perfect getaway to be with nature.

Super friendly and accommodating host. The property was unfortunately hit with hurricane Helene and had a lot of trees down but that made for a lot of fire wood. I had a nice stay and would stay again. Bring bug spray.

Kimberly had such a beautiful property. The water was low so there wasn't any kayaking or swimming but we had a great time wading through the water and exploring! The clawfoot tub was a nice addition and the yurt had everything we needed and more! 10/10!

I loved the cabin! It was equipped with everything I needed. Kimberly was kind and attentive and made me feel comfortable there. It was peaceful sitting on the beautiful, large porch watching the river flow by. I can't wait to go back again.

Had a phenomenal weekend Yurting on the Canoochee!!!! Awesome little spot. Did a little kayaking, hung out on the beach, had a great fire watching the sunset. Even enjoyed the venture into town to Food Fresh Market and grabbing Chinese from China Wok. (Sooo good!)
Will definitely book again! Wonderful hosts as well!

We loved staying in the yurt. It was so big on the inside and arranged so well with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room that really did feel like separate rooms rather than different areas.
It was so comfortable that we just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves for the two nights we were there. The first morning was nice and cool, so we ate our breakfast out on the patio. The next day was hot, but we didn't feel it because of the air-conditioned comfort of the yurt.
When it was time to check out, we waited until the last minute because we didn't want to leave. It was our first time staying in a yurt. Because of this awesome experience, it won't be our last.

First time in a yurt, it’s really off the beaten path and a great place to relax and unwind for a few days - and even if it rains at night the sound of the rain hitting the yurt roof was sooo relaxing as well! Great experience, would recommend to anyone anytime!

The yurt is spectacular- well stocked and clean. The design was very cozy, both inside and out. The owner is responsive and very kind. We took full advantage of the clawfoot tub. xD My partner and I plan on returning at least once a year.

Perfect getaway, close to town but far enough away you are still secluded in this jem of a spot! Yurt is immaculate and furnished with everything you will need except your food and clothes. Sit back on the deck and relax watching the river, fish, kayak, short hikes, camp fires, total peace and tranquility waiting for you! Will definitely be back to this amazing place! Host is super sweet and attentive to your needs without intruding on your vacation.

The river is so beautiful and the Yurt is right on it!! I drove a small car and was a little worried about the road in with all the rain I would advise to take a truck or jeep. It was so beautiful I love all the different light features! This could be a cool place to honeymoon it’s very cozy!! I’ll definitely be back

Great place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Yurt had everything you could possibly need. Really enjoyed our stay! Always wanted to stay in a yurt and it did not disappoint 🙂

Beautiful yurt!! Had so much fun kayaking the river which was right out the front door. So many amenities in the yurt. You really only need to bring basics. Will definitely be back😁

What a cool place! Right next to the "river", which was low and slow during our visit. Sit by the fire pit with a cup of coffee and relax. Everything you need. Unique and quirky.

I've been on a month long trip, and I have stayed at many different hipcamps along the way. However, this yurt was my absolute favorite place to visit. The views on the outside were beautiful, the inside was cozy, and Kimberly was a very sweet host! I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

This place was amazing and secluded...the yurt it was an awesome so comfortable and clean...the surrounding areas was just beautiful Kimberly was an excellent host...came by to check on us and gave us a tour of the cabins she rents to which all of them was so nice.. we did a fire every day and gather firewood from the area and tree limbs that had fallen... so no need of buying firewood .. but if you want to break off from the city and just hang out in nature this is the place you would want to come too. ❤️❤

Kimberly was unbelievably kind and helpful even before my stay. She even showed up late Saturday morning to gather my trash and carry it off for me! She had the lights on for me as I arrived after dark on Friday; extremely considerate of her as she lives outside the county of the property. The yurt itself was white glove test clean, the fragrance was homey and the decor was fantastic. I slept better in the bed there than I do my own at home! The property itself is a adventure and they have all the trails cleared for walking. I highly recommend this property to one looking for some solo time or time with that special someone. Its precious and I will be staying again very soon. You cannot go wrong with this rental; it exceeded all of my expectations.

Yurting is a great step up from regular tent camping. Host had everything available that anyone could think of or accidently forget. I was a little disappointed that the photo in the description showed a small sandbar which I thought was out front when,in actuality, was in front of another. property, although she did show me access to beautiful, private sand bars. It would be an even more peaceful location if the Host wouldn't cut grass on the weekends. Other than water levels being low (not the Host fault of course) & the 10-foot drop off to the water in front the yurt, it was an amazing trip.

Yurting on the Canoochee
The yurt was a totally unique and awesome place. Somehow the owners managed to fit everything you could ever need inside without feeling cramped. The water is right outside the front door. We loved sitting by the fire next to the river and making s’mores. We will be back.
