Site was as expected. You will hear the birds and you will hear the road noise. Lovely dog visit from the very gentle Pyrenees dog. Downside, weed whacking (petrol driven) on the side of the hill directly opposite me for an hour in the morning before I was leaving, interrupted what I had planned as a quiet morning. Not sure why this work couldn’t have waited to be done after I checked out at noon. I stopped my breakfast, packed up early, feeling a little cheated out of my time (gone by 1130). Upside, got home earlier than I expected

Moon Ridge Ranch is a very cozy and comfortable place to stay in the Wine Country. It has a nice location on one of the most beautiful winding roads I've ever driven. I sincerely recommend this place for those who travel in Northern Cali.

It was an amazing stay at Moon Ridge! Nick, Kyra and their family are so welcoming. Great outdoor shower with warm water, electricity and beautiful views over the mountains. And gas firepit and home grown vegetables on arrival. We highly recommend and will be back here soon!

We had a really lovely time at Kyla's place. We stayed in the Chula Vista site and it was fantastic! We especially loved the outdoor shower, and visiting all the critters. The view was magical- in the morning the valley below was a blanket of white and we were up above the clouds. At night there were a million stars- so beautiful. Oh, and our small dog thought he was the boss of their large (and very friendly) one, and he got to chase him all over which tired him out (yay!). We will definitely be back again! :-)

Kyla & Nick were very sweet & accommodating! The land is beautiful with views and has everything you need! Loved the chickens, goats & dogs roaming around & saying hello!

this campground was wonderful. A gorgeous view, chickens and roosters to add to the hillside view. The hosts were excellent. They offer eggs and veggies for purchase direct from their land which enjoyed them both.
When I had some issues with my RV they reached out to their friends to assist.
I would definitely recommend this Hip Camp to friends, and hope to stay there again.

Kyla was a great host and the area was so cute and beautiful. The shared kitchen side has a great view and you can play giant jenga while hanging out swinging in the hammock or saying hi to the local chickens and goats haha. Would love to come back again.

Kyla’s site was lovely. The space was well spread out and the kids loved the goats and pig. There was large group at the group site who ended up being loud past the quiet hours but they eventually quieted down. Also, just a note - the site is literally next to Highway 29 so you will hear cars and motorcycles driving by. Bring ear plugs if you’re sensitive to that. The stars were majestic and we enjoyed using the gas fire pit for s’mores. Thanks for a great stay!

My family and I had the best time on Kyla’s property! We booked a weekend for my daughter’s birthday. When we arrived, our site was decorated with balloons and fresh flowers. Was the perfect surprise for my daughter. She loved it. In the morning, Kyla brought us a dozen of fresh eggs and a pot of coffee. Definitely the best hostess we’ve ever had while camping. She was right there any time we had questions or needed anything. We stayed at the Chula Vista site, which is conveniently right next to the communal bbq grill and gazebo. We had one RV and a few tents. There’s plenty of room to ride bikes and take nature walks. Was the perfect getaway and exactly what my family needed. We started planning our next trip before even left. See ya soon Kyla!

Nice little spot in the hills of Calistoga. The hosts were very kind and friendly. We were able to rent a propane tank for $25 and they had a cute propane fire pit at the site to use. The site itself was pretty rocky so we set up tents closer to the community area where some nice mulch had been laid down. I would definitely say this is a site geared more towards RVs than tents. The free roaming roosters and chickens were cute and we took a walk down the hill to say hi to their pig and 2 goats.
It was a very nice spot with open skies to see the stars at night. Mornings had beautiful fog through the trees. My only drawback was the sound from the passing cars. The property is settled in the nook of some very sharp S curves and you could constantly hear cars, along with tire screeching from drivers taking the sharp turns too fast >o< But after a while we got used to it and it faded into the background.
The restroom was a port-a-potty that was always stocked and well maintained. And it was nice having an area to wash our dishes in the communal sink.
The hosts brought us a carton of fresh eggs the morning we were leaving from their free range chickens and they were delicious.

We had a great time enjoying this group campsite! The lower meadow is a nice spacious area with a table and chairs, hammock, and sink with running water. The animals were a fun bonus, and Kyla was a super kind and communicative host. One thing for future campers to know is the bathroom situation—just one port-a-potty for several campsites, and it’s an uphill walk from the lower meadow group campsite. Overall, a great group site!

The views were gorgeous.: towering pine trees frame the 8 acre property above Calistoga. I luv the farm free eggs, garden vegetables, firewood, and the sweet family!

This is a great place in the mountains. I enjoyed the scenic windy drive to get there. The view is great and it was nice to say hi to the pigs and goats each morning. My 12' camper trailer pulled in and out easily.

Easy way to stay in Calistoga. The property was fun with pigs, goats and chickens. Zeus is the welcome dog. Very close to Robert Louis Stevenson State Park.

So glad we found Kyla’s place. Quiet, private, easy to find. Kyla and family were very friendly and accommodating. The farm animals were a huge hit with our kiddo. Added bonus or toilet, water, and other unexpected bonuses.

Our host Kyla was very welcoming and responsive. The meadow was very nice and secluded, very clean toilet. We cooked some meals on the barbecue and loved the cute pigs, chickens and goats. Great location, close to Calistoga. Would recommend.

Perfect location for hiking with trails up the road and the resorts in Calistoga downtown just moments away. Great amenities, this Hipcamp was one of our favorite properties we’ve been to. Perfect for our van. Kind hosts, adorable farm animals and clean bathroom. The gazebo, fire pits and outdoor grill/sink. The fresh farm eggs are a major perk too! We’ll definitely be back soon!

We loved camping at Kyla’s land! We spent 2 nights at the group campsite with 5 kids and everyone had a fantastic time. The pigs, chickens and goats were fun to have around. Tire swing was a hit with the littles. Great grass area to throw a frisbee around or play games. Super friendly hosts always responsive to our questions. Really clean portapotty and washing station. Zero complaints and overall wonderful space. We’d definitely come back

The host, Kyla had to move some things around so I believe we ended up in the upper Chula Vista area (not the lower). We had an extension cord that we could power the RV with (with our adapter), and water.
Great little spot. Host setup the fire pit which was an added bonus oh and how could I forget the fresh eggs delivered to us!
