This land was home to the Miwok, then European and Chinese miners, then a cattle rancher. It was also home to a former nun who quit the dominican order to purchase this land for inner city kids to have a chance to ride, swim, hike and fish. We moved here in 2017 and purchased this land with the main goal to raise our large family here, but we have found that good things must be shared! There is NOTHING like being in the wilderness of this area for a good re-centering of the soul! We have found it to be a true blessing for our family, and we hope you can experience this blessing as we share this space with you. We feel certain you will not be disappointed with our beautiful river canyon. Our property is situated right on the middle fork cosumnes river. We have 2 sleeping cabins and several tent sites (can be rented separately). The cabins offer a rustic/minimalist type vibe - bring your own bedding/pillows to sleep on the comfy futon. A table and chairs are provided for the cabins. Tent sites each have a wood table (bring your camp chairs) and a fire pit when the season is open for burning. The swimming is awesome and the stars at night will put you into a state of awe! In the area there are many family owned wineries in the area, most of them offering free tasting! It’s a short drive to Tahoe and the Marshall gold discovery site as well as the historic hangtown Placerville. We are happy to make suggestions for local hiking areas, like the Devil's Slide "Gorge" only a 15 minute drive but like a trip to mini Yosemite. The Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the cabins (litererally 200' away!). It is still as beautiful as ever but please know there are lots of slash piles. Falling trees and burned up stump holes are also a risk and it is presumed campers will be cautious and use at their own risk. We ask campers to use our property only for land use and river access, NO up or down river access is permitted AT ALL. Please don't hesitate to shoot us a message if you have any questions!

The tent sites offers a rustic/minimalist type vibe - bring your own gear. A small wood table (2x4’) is provided but chairs are not. The campsites are all fairly level, tent site 1, 2, 3, are in the meadow. While sites 4, 5, 6, and 7 are at the rivers edge. Site 1 is closest to the bathrooms and has a potable water spigot at the site. Campsite 1 also has a picnic table and bench swing, but is the closest site to our house (120’) and is about 5-600’ from the river. Sites 2 and 3 are along the meadows edge about 200’ or less from the river and about 300’ from the bathrooms and potable water source. Tent/RV site 4 can accommodate a van, small to mid size camper, we don’t really recommend anything over 30’ in length. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7 are within about 50’ of the river. Site 1 through 7 can each accommodate drive in camping and have several different river access points right out the back of the sites. We recommend bringing a wagon if you have kids and extra gear to haul to the swim hole. Additional vehicles are allowed for all sites but please utilize your best judgement and park additional vehicles in overflow parking areas where they will not impede other campers nor crowd campsites. We ask that you limit it to only one vehicle per campsite for this reason, you may be asked to relocate additional vehicles. Additional fees are due for additional vehicles. Tent Site 6

This tent site is a WALK-IN campsite for tent usage, for vans/car camping you can use the site by parking in the parking spot. It’s a short walk of about 50’ on level ground to the tent site, but in an effort to make this campsite more secluded from the other two nearby sites, campsites 5 and 7. This campsite is hidden in an almost “fairy glen” and offers a rustic/minimalist type vibe - bring your own gear. A wood table (2.5x8’) is provided but chairs are not. The campsites are all fairly level, tent site 1, 2, 3, are in the meadow. Lower to the upper river swim hole. While sites 4, 5, 6, and 7 are at the rivers edge and just south of the lower swim hole. . Campsite 6 does not accommodate drive-up camping, you will park at the old campsite 6 (between campsites 5 & 7 and walk straight back into the woods along the trail. Please do not drive your vehicle into the campsite. Campsite 6 has several different river access points right out the back of the site. We recommend bringing a wagon if you have kids and extra gear to haul to the campsite/swim hole. Additional vehicles are allowed for all sites but please utilize your best judgement and park additional vehicles in overflow parking areas where they will not impede other campers nor crowd campsites. Cabin 1 offers a rustic/minimalist type vibe - bring your own bedding (blankets/pillows). There is a Full bed/futon, and a 1 single bed/futon, a potbelly wood stove, bedside table. We recommend bringing battery powered lights for indoors as there is no power to the cabin. There is an outside table and chairs but you may want to bring additional tables, as well as additional camping chairs. We also provide a fire pit for use during the permissive burn season. The cabins do not have a kitchen area, bring your own camp stove and cooking utensils. The cabin has an overflow tent site to accommodate up to 4 additional guests. There is no kitchen, bring your own camp stove/bbq and cooking utensils. Not private but great river access
Cabin #1
Overall we loved this spot - the river was stunning and the Cabin (#1) was spacious. However, the bathroom situation was less than ideal. The bathroom for cabins 1 & 2 is about 5 ft from where Cabin #1’s table and fire pit are, so as we were trying to relax, the residents from Cabin #2 were constantly coming into our area and using the bathroom mere feet from us. Totally not their fault, but if you’re gonna stay here I’d highly recommend just staying at a tent site for more privacy.

Noleens property was amazing! My kids had so much fun in the river playing and catching frogs and tadpoles. It was perfect for swimming for all ages. The camp site was clean (no trash) and very close to the river entrance. Perfect cool down for how hot it was!

Overall, we had a great experience. No trash cans at all – you need to take your garbage with you. No animal-proof lockers – you have to store everything in your car overnight. No water – just one hookup for the whole area with a limited supply. Beautiful river – swimmable, conditionally ( very cold). “No hunting” - was posted on website. One day before the trip I got the rules for camping with “no hunting and no fishing whatsoever “. It Felt unfair, the fishing was one of the reasons why I chose this campground. No one bothers you, which is perfect. Not crowded – a definite plus.

Noleen has an amazing property for camping! No need to go anywhere as the river with provide you with plenty of amusement. So many beautiful flowers around the camp too, so that’s a bonus. Tent site 6 was between two other camp sites, and luckily we had good neighbors. I am not a big fan of camping at sites with people so close together, and perhaps the sites themselves would be better with borders letting you know where your site ends and the other begins. Otherwise, the sites themselves was clean, well maintained, had a table, and the fire pit was nice and big.

My family and I had a wonderful time! The hosts were incredible and available for any questions or inquiries. The sound of the river flowing at night provided such a calm and relaxing environment. Stargazing at one of the swimming holes was phenomenal! Definitely will be returning!

This place is a gem! My first time in this part of the world, and I didn't realize that it was so beautiful. Gorgeous, sweet, perfect camp area. Peaceful, charming. A lovely stream on one side and a meadow on the other. Got to drive right up to our site...easy! Drum for the campfire was right there and easy to use. Best to arrive during the day, as we did, for best driving visibility on the dirt road. Only thing I wish I knew is that mosquito repellent is a MUST. The minute the sun went down, I was munched by mosquitoes!!

We enjoyed our stay on Noleen and Jobe’s beautiful land! The cabin next to the chicken coop was comfortable. (Be sure to purchase some fresh eggs!) The flush toilets and well water felt like luxuries for camping in a remote spot. The highlight was swimming and hanging out at the river all afternoon!

I loved tent camping on Noleen’s land! The river was rushing from recent snowfall so we had the constant rumble the whole trip! I recommend vehicles capable of potholes and curvy dirt roads, as the last two miles to get there are on an unpaved road

We had a great time! Beautiful surroundings, great hosts and a lovely dog! What else to wish for? It was very nice to be so close to the creek! It was hot during the day but it cooled down in the evening because of the water nearby. Make sure to bring a citronella candle cause again you are right by the creek:)

We stayed at cabin 2 (all the camp sites were booked but by the time we arrived, some camp sites were free but had left the tent at home.) Camp sites are beautiful and more private. But we did love the "patio" side with the fire pit and table. Loved the stream on the property. Definitely go to the Cosumnes river gorge close by. Our dog loved running around off leash. Hosts were really gracious and helpful.

Great spot to camp! Quiet and scenic next the river! The provided table and fire ring were great and the bathroom was well maintained. Very pet friendly. Definitely planning on coming back during the summer months to enjoy the cool river!

Noleen and Joeby’s spot has been on our list for a long time and we finally made it!! Despite the weather we had a great time and the hosts were incredibly responsive & helpful - we forgot eggs / potatoes and they went above and beyond to help us — the best hosts we have come across! Campsite # 4 is a solid choice for 3-8 people and it’s tucked away from the other river-side camp spots, semi- secluded. The bathroom/ spigot for water is a little uphill walk but we had a free vehicle to ride in to fill up our 7 gallon water jugs, which made it easier!! We brought our own pop up / toilet because we have a little one who’s in potty trading (a little tricky with the pack in /pack out rule, but we had special bags) so, that worked for us. The river is a short walk with multiple easy access points! We will definitely be back!!!

We had an amazing stay at this campsite. It was incredibly quiet and serene, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Nestled among lots of trees and just a short walk from a beautiful river, the location felt secluded and refreshing. The surroundings were peaceful, and the natural beauty really helped us unwind. On top of that, the host was excellent—welcoming and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful campsite in the woods on the River, wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home. Nice flush toilets and good drinking water. Wish we’d come in summer to enjoy swimming. Be prepared for a slow, careful descent on the gravel road - trailer worthy at 10mph.

The individual site descriptions were quite vague and the pictures were misleading to nearby amenities and river proximities. Some sites were fully in shade while some tent spaces were in full Sun. The owner was accommodating and we were able to move to another available site. Overall the camp was peaceful and remote. However it lacked nearby attractions and the river access was quite limiting. The noise policy was non-existent as to a very loud speaker boom box was blasting during the day as well past 9 pm at night. I would recommend this camp if campers want a very laid back experience and provided self entertainment.

Relaxing spring getaway

Great location with several secluded spots for enjoying the passing river and listening to the rapids. The campsites are far enough from each other and people were well-behaved. The only thing I could wish for is for the bathroom doors to close properly. Wild turkeys roam the land, providing a photo op!
