There are 3 friendly german shepherds that keep the property coyote free and guard the goats, kittens, and guests. As far as supplies, Leona Valley has a well stocked little mini mart, gas and a great little restaurant called "Jack’s Place" with yummy food and amazing draft beer …. all just 10 minutes drive down the dirt road.

The showers are in clean, family sized stalls with multi-stream hot water shower heads, complete with remote control mood lighting, conditioner, and shampoo. At Loco Kolohe’s Convenience Store, check out our adorable shop for guests. There's cold drinks, camping snacks/games, and even souvenirs shirts! There are plenty of fun, vintage spaces that are staged for movie sets like our Hilltop Bar, pool, and realistic trailer-spaces. Often, we will have construction of new, exciting additions happening all around the ranch. One of our current renovations involves the trailers we provide for filming, which are not to be opened due to construction. We have stunning forest and valley views all around the property. As the Angeles National Forests are gorgeous, we always attempt to leave our environment as it is, clean and wild, in order to best preserve our beautiful Earth! Overall, here at ArtFarm, we like to keep that upbeat, lively vibe and creativity going! There's never a shortage of people to talk to, from our international volunteers to the other guests, like yourself! Out here in the valley, without the extensive light pollution, it's the best place to stargaze, cloud watch, take in a fresh breath of air, and make ART! Outside of the ranch, just 10 minutes down the road is Jack's Place. It's the perfect place to grab a beer and a good bite to eat! I really wanted to love this place because it looked nice as advertised, unfortunately, it was nothing like it. The place has ran down and it needs serious cleaning and maintenance. We were supposed to stay two nights but we left as soon as the kids were up the first day. We couldnt sleep from all the mice running around and there were mice droppings on the bed and under. The saloon, the kitchen, the bathrooms, really need some cleaning and tidying up.

What an incredible place! We felt like we were welcomed like family. The access to a full kitchen and compost bathroom and amazing hot showers was so nice. Even though it was super full over the holiday weekend, it all felt so relaxing and everyone there was so kind. We will be back!

Little Red Barn - Family Glamping !
ArtFarm was a lot of fun for us and our teenage girls. We had great time with our doggo having free rein and our cozy cabin still had enough room for board games and meals. Communal kitchen and bathroom were clean and convenient. Our youngest really enjoyed feeding the goats and chickens. Hiking nearby as well. Staff super friendly and accommodating. First time using HipCamp, thanks for a great experience!

Loved this place! The vibes and people were great! My dog could just roam around the property off leash. Zero cell service, but wifi works really well, so doesn't matter. It's great that it's only an about an hour away from LA. Will probably be back to disconnect and unwind.

This campsite is basically a rustic Bohemian Village. It has all of the amenities you would hope for in the backwoods. We were car campers, but felt far away from city life. We did a moderate 2 hour in and out hike up to the fire road ridge… Took a 30 minute nap on top of a old-fashioned quail guzzler - enjoying the scenic surrounding… Definitely recommend for anyone looking for something different… Family friendly.

I loved this place. I slept in my car and had a little pull in spot with a table close to a communal kitchen where I could put my freezer packs in the freezer. Also composting toilets and a hot shower. I was hoping to have a table inside with heat where I could do some computer work as it was quite cold outside but the young man I talked to said they didn’t have that yet but I could sit at the outside bar and work there. It’s a pretty rustic hippy scene that wouldn’t be comfortable for everyone. Lots of sweet dogs and kind people, easy to find up a very short dirt road. I woke in the morning had a hot shower made my breakfast and hit the road. Beautiful drive. Thanks everyone, especially Tina and her two daughters for inviting me to join them for dinner.

You ever get that feeling you’re being guided? That’s what I experienced which lead me here. Solo, I stayed for 4 nights and was welcomed into a location with expansive vision and creativity behind it. I see the vision behind it and I loved the potential of what this environment brings as a community stepping outside the programming. I parked my 22 foot RV van here and found they had little cottages and RV’s to also rent. This is a working ranch where dogs can be off leash. There’s goats, chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, hiking, music, a tavern area with a pool table. This is a fun and creative property. A community that flows as people come and go. Saskia is a wealth of knowledge and experiences that I was honored she shared with me over meals and coffee. This was a really special and impactful experience for me and a highlight of my 45 day solo road trip with my dog Bodhi. Thank you for the opportunity to have experienced the ArtFarm and the community that you’ve brought together. This was an unforgettable NYE and I am grateful I shared it with these folks. Thank you for sharing yourself with me and Bodhi and welcoming us with such open arms.

The Owls Nest - Mini Glamping Pod 1
My first instinct upon arriving was to change plans and leave. The pictures did not match what the actual “ranch” looked like. The people that we came in contact with were all very nice but that does not cancel out the ACTUAL rats nest that was beneath the mattress where we were sleeping. There were rats scurrying around the nest literally under our pillows! We left in the middle of the night. I would not recommend this campsite or sleeping hut to anyone.

The hosts here were so kind and receptive. My daughter and I were looking for a great escape from Los Angeles. The property is continuing to be developed, therefore a few places felt a little bit junky. There are app. 10 old RV's and campers on the property that aren't being used - empty. Perhaps they will be rebuilding them as a part of their AirBB. The campsite is quite open. Not a lot of privacy. A few have views to the old campers. We found a little spot tucked away, which was nice, yet our neighbors had no other way around us except to walk right through our campsite. The hosts were very kind, though, and offered us to pitch our tent wherever we wanted. We did have to park a little ways away from the site. Luckily we had a cart to load all of our things. The campsite has a beautiful little kitchen area, nice bathrooms and lovely showers. There are also little "cabins" that are super cute, but small (for two small people). We enjoyed the pool, which was clean, but had quite a bit of broken toys and noodles around it. There are other kind people who live on the property longer term. The most annoying thing - so, so many gnats and bees. Kind of ruined our stay a little bit because it was so hard to relax. That, of course, is not the fault of the Hipcamp.

We really appreciated the quiet campground, the well-stocked outdoor kitchen, and the refreshingly cool, clean pool. We also loved meeting all the dogs and animals, and how cute and cozy the bathrooms and showers were. This place feels like a sanctuary for all guests, including pets!

The art farm was one of the most magical places I’ve camped! The community there Is hard working, kind, funny, and loving! One of my favorite things about this community is the honor system ! Taking care of each other and the land ! There Is a communal kitchen outside with shared appliances (Bring your own food) there are lots of Friendly bees on the property . There’s Running water with two showers And three artistic bathrooms. There’s charging stations at the bar and pool with animals running around you! There are trails all over the property with a small drum circle and twisted vines and magical doors. The first night of arriving I had an encounter at 3:13 in the morning with a small owl. The owl was a feet to 2 feet away from me hopping on the tree above me he stayed and played for a While jumping back-and-forth for branches and clapping his wings at me after flying off, he then turned again at 3:33 in the morning making little sounds and singing With me to the moon! This is a magical place to decompress letting your dogs run free! I can’t wait to come back !

If you want to stay somewhere completely different, unique and aimed at people who can think out of the box, then Kilchers Land is for you. Beautiful scenery, no light or sound pollution, just hearing nature doing its thing with an amazing canopy of stars above, it was unforgettable. If your not open minded, don’t go, but if you are, enjoy it for what it is and you’ll have a great stay, just as we did🙂

Such a fun place to stay! You can find everything you need around the camp. The glamping is cozy and comfortable. Our dogs were loving the freedom, exploring, and meeting new friends. Our hosts were great story tellers and had amazing ideas for the future of the ranch. We will definitely be back

Directions to the site was overly difficult even though I thought I’d screenshot everything and let the host know before my husband drove my 2yo toddler, me, and our dog. We had issues trying to just get a bed until we were arriving and as a pregnant mom in the heat, I was flustered with not being able to find Jacks and not seeing responses until we were on our way and just having latitude/longitude instead of address or name on rock based off guidance. Pros: - variety of accommodation type depending on what you/your friends/family may like. - friends/hangout friendly space. - communal kitchen which was recently stocked - swimming pool when it was hot AF. - large, kind dogs (although they were in constant territorial battle with my dog and kept leaving tracks by our home even late at night) Cons: - VERY difficult to find (out of all camps we’ve done, we struggled the most with this and was kind of miserable in the heat) - unfinished wood and run down “grungy” type of finishes that threw my husband/me off; floors were not leveled and were constant tripping hazards for my toddler, me, and my husband. Def do not think this is family friendly if you have a toddler. - overall value and think what you pay for is overpriced. If you’re sensitive to heat/get allergies, I don’t recommend coming in the sunmer. The dust really made it difficult for myself to sleep and my son kept accidently getting it in his face.

cute little cabin, not really meant for two! nice land and great toilet/kitchen area. mostly quiet, pool is lovely - with frogs! was difficult to be cool, the windows didn’t have a latch to stay open and the wind was strong through the valley. needed more utensils in the kitchen and to clean out the fridge. family was so nice and friendly :) overall we loved it.

Absolutely loved our first glamping experience at the Ladybug Cabin! The cabin was cozy and well-equipped, complete with our own mini-fridge and a great community kitchenette that had everything we needed. The community pool was a fantastic spot to relax, and the bathrooms and showers were spotless. We were also impressed by the bar, which offered a variety of entertainment options. Me and my 5 year old son loved our time here! The hospitality and sense of community was unparalleled. The tiny cabin was perfect and adorable. The swimming pool was awesome, all the diverse people was super nice and the morning we were set to leave, we woke up with a dangerously low tire, someone pumped it up for us without any issues. Our van site was nestled into the hillside, creating a nice nook for table and chairs. Bathrooms were very clean, the Cantina was well stocked for cooking. We were surrounded by birds and butterflies, and short hikes into the hills revealed beautiful flowers. It was a busy weekend at the campground, but still quiet and serene. Saskia and her team were friendly and very helpful. Pool looked wonderful. Thanks, guys!
