We stayed at site #2 with a 14ft trailer.
The Good:
Easy to park the trailer, great views, Paula is a great host, she is working on a structure which we used with a line to hang some towels.
The Bad:
The road in is very rough! We travelled slowly while towing, but it was OK enough to drive out and back with our truck.
We left early due to forecasted high winds, so not a site problem but something to consider for Winslow.
The Ugly:
The restrooms needed cleaning, we opted to use our own camp toilet.

This is an amazing place! Paula is laid back and loves for people to explore on her 40 acres! It’s a dream camp site for a large family of ten like ours! Hike down the canyon behind her house and come to an incredibly beautiful deep green water filled gorge. You can kayak up there for an extra adventure! This was our second stay at her place and I’m sure we’ll be looking forward to it the next time we come through, as well! It’s worth the long drive on the gravel road to get there!

I visited site1. The location is beautiful, and it offers great privacy, which is a big advantage. However, I noticed trash and junk scattered around the area, which detracts from the experience. Additionally, the restrooms were very dirty, and there was no toilet paper, which made things uncomfortable. That said, with some investment and better maintenance, this place could be amazing.

I booked two nights and stayed one. Even though the host indicated the road was rocky, it was ROCKY, rutted, washboard and slow-going. I was in my minivan camper. The clearance was not an issue. The road was rough and there are a few miles of it. I arrived close to dusk so little time to set up. There is a very large contained area (10' or more) with some kind of crumbling rock or adobe structure about the size of a well house in the middle. I believe this was referred to as the communal firepit. It also contained trash, a tennis shoe, a pair of tongs, and various broken boards. I had ordered a $10 firewood bundle and was disappointed at what I got. I never used it so hope the next person enjoys. The porta john did not have toilet paper. There were three empty cardboard rolls, two on the dispensers and one in the floor. Luckily, I had my own. I thought the sky and the sunset were beautiful. I've stayed on BLM land that was cleaner than this and. That is the problem. If I'm paying for a campsite, I'd at least like to camp someplace without debris littering the ground. I had planned to drive into Winslow the next day but did not want to travel that road again. My car radio now has a wiring short from the bumps and comes on at will. Or else I picked up a ghostly hitchhiker on the property. LOL

Our group of 4 plus a dog had a wonderful time at campsite 1! This was a unique spot with plenty of space and could hike down into the river bed and down to the Little Colorado River. Pretty close to town too.

The directions were very well written, however the road was a little rocky. This was my very first hip camp so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was by myself and it was a little scary at first, but I would definitely go with a couple of other people. The amazing sunset and sunrise made it a very positive experience! This site is wonderful if you want to be at peace and enjoy the beauty of the desert. We had a great time there, as always, and spent a good time cliff jumping from the rocks. What great place to be in the world.

Overall, beautiful land with some low-key and quirky signage & solar lights. There was some large detritus and discarded objects that made it very hard to see it as clean. That combined with the raw placement of the porta-potty gave it an unintended trashy feel.
Definitely good views and rock observing near the site, so that helps bring value. What is up with all the discarded blue barrels at the edge of the arroyo?

Beautiful simple quiet and remote location in the middle of AZ desert. I slept well and enjoyed a walk down to the Clear Creek adjacent to the property which is rather spectacular natural feature of water carving into sandstone rock.

Such a gem! Took a chance on this spot while passing through, and so glad we did. Paula has two sites on her land, and while you can see your neighbors they’re far enough away to not interfere. We especially loved letting the dogs be offleash since it burned that pent up road trip energy.

We had such a unique experience at site 2. We arrived late in the evening and the directions were on point. It was so quiet and you could see so many stars. The morning sunrise was the best part. We will definitely consider staying here in the future.

We loved being out there. It was a little harder to find than we expected, so be sure to follow Paula's instructions. We were happily surprised to find it had the nicest port-a-potty and TP on our whole trip. We had a nice fire, enjoyed the stars, and loved the silence exploring the canyon in the morning. Hit the Turquoise Room for breakfast. A great combo.
