A lovely campsite with good facilities, however the church bells in the local village ring during the night, there are earplugs available at the campsite but just be mindful if you are a light sleeper

Good for small groups, more ideal for couples, and solo travellers. Great surroundings, wild life, n'such.
Still in two minds about the bell.
All round a bargin. Would be happy and intend on returning at a later date.

This is a simple but really comfortable site. Good facilities..heated loo!! Peaceful and surrounded by nature. I love it so much I staid twice in 2024!

Took me a little bit of time to work out where to pitch and where the facilities were as I got to the site a little late but nice views by the stone circle. The church feels also take some getting used to, but eventually I tuned them out.

Lovely place, just mind The Bells!
The campsite was nice and quiet, with folks who were kind, polite, and stuck to the rules. There were showers, (composting) loos, fires permitted and the overall atmosphere was relaxed.
I think, my only reservations are personal ones, tbh, so entirely me. There's a church nearby which keeps ringing its bells, all the time. As a light sleeper I was woken up, all the time, by these church bells.
I love the idea of a campfire too, but as a person with asthma and because some the pitches are quite closer together, if lots of people have their nice fire on, it creates an asthmatic reaction for me. Too much smoke, all at once. So, I decided not to be on site, but spend my evenings elsewhere.

The sites location and view across the valley from the second field were great. Definitely off the beaten track and nice and quiet most of the time, other than the adjacent Church's clock that rings every 15 minutes throughout the night! (you start to get used to it after the first night)

We loved camping on Sally’s land. The facilities were really good! Easy check-in, well mapped site, clean site, everyone followed the rules which made it an extra nice stay. Camping areas were well designated (could choose your own pitch).
All in all, a really good experience. 100% would go again!

This was a lovely site, so quiet and peaceful, limited facilities as is advertised but they were great for us and we’d definitely return! We loved it and would recommend highly.

The camp site is gorgeous, wild fields and quiet, there is no check in or allocated spaces which caused a bit of a stress on arrival but other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Great little camp site with good, clean showers and loos (the horse box a nice touch!). An easy walk into Bibury on a public footpath across fields. Host very helpful both in person and on email. Will visit again

This was a very magical campsite. Beautiful views across the Cotswolds. Good pot wash. Decent composting loos. Very quiet. We managed to get a EHU on the side of the moat.
The issue we had was with the Hip Camp & privately owned webpages which were not true to what was experienced. The photos on the web were not true to the actual site during our stay. The site is very overgrown compared to the websites. No woodland camping was available. No hammocks. No real view of the moat. The moat was very low and not as the photos showed. The mown pitches were very very small, and not suitable for large tents-we have a Hayling 6 man.
The website states only 6 pitches, but there were at least 25+ and had the site been full, the site would have been overwhelmed. The websites were very strict on alcohol use and noise, however there were no owners or warden to talk to about concerns.
The yurts and quiet cafe looked very tired and worn. It looks like the site has been left and neglected somewhat. Despite this, we did have a very peaceful and relaxed stay.

Site lovely for a quiet back to basics getaway in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside. It was bigger than expected tho and pitches are a little on the small size. (Pictures and Info on app must need updating.) Facilities were good if not a little rustic but that just gives it its charm. We have an undisturbed 2 night stay, with local places of interest within a 30 mins drive. Would def visit again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Holycombe. The site was so quiet I think we whispered to each other our entire stay. There were hot showers, a flush toilet, a lovely outdoor sink for teeth brushing under the forest canopy and a couple of composting toilets too. We loved being able to pick up a fire basket and wood and pay on the go. Everything was really organised and well kept. The campsite was beautiful and we loved watching the ducks and ducklings swim around the moat. Just a 4 minute drive away is the lovely Cotswolds Distillery which do amazing pizzas if you’re keen to explore to area. We will definitely be back!

What a brilliant campsite! Lightly but well managed. A lovely moderately wild site but with facilities, rustic but clean and efficient. Actually, everything I ever want from camping. Spots are very private but well kept. Fire pits and firewood available. Lovely at night time seeing little plumes of smoke from the various campfires.
I like it a lot. My second visit and I hope to soon make my third and then many more. I am a 75 year old tent camper who used to wild camp in the Highlands. Now this continues to give me what I used to enjoy but just a little less effort plus facilities.

A great little find, in a picturesque Cotswold stone village. The site was well kept, we enjoyed the evening sat around the camp fire stargazing after a walk through the local meadows and exploring in the woods.

A truly beautiful spot to camp! Lots of space and in the middle of a moat, which I thought was brilliant (Look on an OS Map). Great facilities, which were hidden away In some woodland, a squirrel ran past when I was doing my dishes! Lots of small touches that made a big difference. I shall definitely return In the future! *Not sure who this Sally is though?! 😆 She never replied to my message on here, and I never met her. Although Antonia who answered my email and came to see me onsite was brilliant and very welcoming! 😊

What a great find this was! I used it as a base while doing some cycle routes around the the Cotswolds. I really enjoyed my stay, having perfect weather, and I even saw the northern lights which was a bonus! This was just what I needed, the site has a very relaxed atmosphere and just the right amount of quirkiness! Yes I would definitely recommend. :)

Great choice of pitches, either larger ones to fit your car next to the tent or smaller ones amongst the orchard. Just the facilities you need and a very friendly welcome. I'll definitely be visiting again for that "nearly wild" camping experience. Quiet surroundings and supplied firepits + bags of logs are a bonus.

Such a peaceful and picturesque site as well as feeling very secure. It was precisely what I wanted from my night away. I went up on the motorcycle and they let me put the bike on the pitch right next to the tent which was super convenient. Facilities are excellent including good, hot showers and the chap that was there to welcome me and show me around was as friendly and helpful as any you could wish to meet. Lovely looking pub right down the road which I didn't get a chance to check out, however I did get to the Straw Kitchen in the village for breakfast which was excellent. In short I highly recommend the site and will definitely be returning in the future.
