Hut Tanganyika
We loved our stay in the hut. It was so clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The fire pit and grill were great too. We explored Louth and Horncastle in our short time there and enjoyed an amazing sunset and had a clear night for stargazing. Would happily return.

Colonial Bell Tent
This is a beautiful spot to stay at. My children and I stayed in the colonial tent which was super cosy. The bed was comfortable with a lovely snuggle duvet and plump pillows, none of the pillows like postage stamps you can get at some places! There were plenty of blankets if it got too cold, and the wood burner made the tent cosy in the evenings and the solar lights were a great idea. Unfortunately it was too wet to cook on the fire pit but there are 2 gas hobs to cook on and all cooking utensils which you may need. The compost toilet was easy to use and the shower is lovely, felt lovely to have a shower then sit in the rocking chair in front of the fire🥰. The land is beautifully kept, lots of area for walks, my dog loved the openess as we were there on our own for a couple of nights, but there is a very long lead your dog can be attached to as well when people are staying in the other areas. Lexi and Charles are lovely, super friendly, the little touches lexi went to for us was thoroughly appreciated. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking at glamping to stay here, I will be returning in the future as I think I've found a gem of a place. The only downside I did have was the traffic noise at night as I was in the tent, but you quickly get used to it, and falling asleep to gentle rain pattering on the tent with the crackle of the fire slowly burning out, it was just magical x

2 adults and 2 kids (2 year olds) all had the most amazing time in the bell tent. The facilities were excellent, with everything you needed. It was the kids first time camping and they loved every minute. It was great to sit on the decking on an evening, with the kids asleep, glass of wine and watch the sun go down. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful site and space inside. It was so good to have the fencing around the vineyard and let our little dog roam around off lead. Really good facilities inside, kitchen and bathroom were great. The road is a little busy (not that that’s reflected in my review) just so people know.
There are nice walks locally and Horncastle is really close by.
It was such a relaxing stay and the owners and really helpful and friendly. We will defiantly return!

We had a fabulous couple of nights at Bain view, it’s a well set out site, the Vineyard hut has a great private garden. The Hut is very comfortable, lovely hot shower and very well equipped, the owners seems to have thought of most things. There is some road noise, but the views more the make up for that.
For us, some comfortable outdoor chairs on the decking would complete a very nice Hut.

We stayed in the bell tent, 2 adults and 2 smaller children. We all had an excellent time getting back to the things that count. Family meals cooked on the well supplied kitchenette and BBQ and relaxing as the sun goes down in the comfortable surroundings.
Lexi has set the place up perfectly, everything very eco friendly but at the same time to a super high standard. We would all definitely stay again.

A very beautiful stay!!
I would highly recommend Bain View Glamping, it’s perfect for families, romantic getaways or even if you just want to escape solo.
The three pods are very thoughtfully placed, you don’t even notice there are other people there.
I’ve already booked my next visit!

After a really busy start to 2023, with a few buckets of stress and a lot of long hours of work we made the decision to escape for the long Easter weekend. We wanted somewhere quiet, peaceful, off grid and surrounded by natural beauty and Bain View absolutely delivered. The Shepherds Hut was welcoming and cosy and had everything you might need for an enjoyable stay. The bed was comfortable, the log burner kept us warm and the views were absolutely incredible. Sat outside, with a glass of wine, watching the sun set over the fields of sheep and wild rabbits we really felt all the stress melt away. The stars at night were simply stunning due to the lack of light pollution and we absolutely loved the eco friendly philosophy of the site. Lexi was a super informative, friendly and helpful host and we felt at home straight away. The site is really dog friendly, especially the shepherds hut which is fenced in so your dog can explore off lead plus there’s loads of great walking routes close by which we made the most of. All in all, a wonderful, soul nourishing weekend away.

We (2 Adults & 2 Children (8 & 9)) loved our little weekend getaway at Bain View Glamping, staying in the Colonial Bell Tent. From before, throughout our stay and up to leaving, Lexi and Charles were great in accommodating our requests. Lots of space around the tent, as well as the facilities - The wood fire kept us warm, as did the hot shower and fire pit! Short drive to a selection of good pubs.

Very Relaxed atmosphere, secluded and beautiful ! was an amazing break away!
The hut was perfect, had everything we needed, I love the fact there is board games there for you to play, they really thought about everything!
Very lovely couple, will definitely be back for another glamping session!

We have just got back from a 2 night stay at bain view glamping site. We went as a family of 4, two adults two children aged 10 and 11 years.
The booking was very easy, we had communication from the owners from the beginning up until arrival.
Lexi was very friendly and met us on site when we arrived, she shown us how to use certain things on the site such as the compost toilet, showers.
The site was great really, a massive field with a pond, clean tent that was decorated wonderfully.
The children thought it was super cool as soon as we got there!

So as a first time glamper, in October we all had a lovely time! The weather was fabulous on our full day! So having the outdoor fire was brilliant for the kids to roast marshmallows and our food.
We did have rain the first evening, but we embraced it and still sat out by the fire!
What we enjoyed the most was the experience of something completely new! We are used to the luxury of a hotel room, but we got on absolutely fine here. Its a place where families can come and have a device free time, explore nature (something I never ever do, but the children loved being outdoors, hunting for sticks to build a fire, seeing the sheep and cows in the field and getting thier wellies on and getting mucky!)
I was worried that night time would be pitch black, but the tent had 2 table lamps that completely lit up the tent, so we sat and played cards, bingo and enjoyed our wine!
Some reviews mention the road noise.

Very comfortable and well equipped Shepherds Hut. The cute wood burner kept us toasty when the temperatures dropped. Our Spaniel enjoyed exploring the safe enclosed and private area around the hut, and his walks with us round the fenced site area. Lovely open views from the hut, and good sunsets to enjoy. I did indulge in the open air bath experience :-D
Found the hosts Lexie&Charles to be very thoughtful and accommodating.

Vineyard Shepherds Hut
We loved our stay at Bain View. The setting of the shepherds hut in the enclosed vineyard is very private and excellent for dogs to stay off their leads to explore. The hut itself is beautifully decorated and kitted out, making for a comfortable base. We spent the majority of our time outside however, using the firepit, BBQ and romantic outdoor bath. We were lucky enough to see the milky way on a clear night as the location is so rural which was incredible. We only left the site to collect food supplies as we wanted a chill getaway but the area looks lovely for walking and the nearby towns quaint to explore. We would love to return in a few years once all the newly planted trees and vines have matured as it'll make for a beautiful spot. Thank you so much for our stay!

South Africa is wild and wilderness, and the hosts have, created an experience in a barren environment. The little Ossewa (oxcart) is very nicely furnished to a T, and set in a hopeful vineyard, surrounded by an open, far reaching, landscape along a river. The night time stars can be enjoyed from a hot Bush Bath, an experience not to be missed. Unique. My congratulations to their recreation of their settlers spirit. Recommended.
