Weekend Trip to Gwerniago Camping Site

The campsite was really easy to find and had gorgeous views. It was nice and spacious so we didn’t on top of other families. It was very windy but would be the time of year. The toilets and shower block is clean and a nice washing up facility for dishes. There are fridges available to use and taps near the non electric pitches too. We also used a fire pit which was great to end our visit. We would like to come back as it’s close to lots of great hikes and bike parks!

Fantastic campsite in a really great location. The site itself was lovely kept and facilities exceptionally clean - by far the best facilities we have come across yet. We arrived late so rang the number as requested and the lady was helpful regardless of the awkward late check-in. She did mention I should have received my pitch number pre arrival, which I had but didn’t realise as it was sent from the campsite itself and not through the booking agent, Hipcamp - something to look out for if you’re planning a stay. The beach was a 10 minute walk down a lovely lane, easily done with my small children. The beach itself is beautiful and had a lovely little bar/restaurant which sold Vegan ice cream which was a bonus for a plant based family!! They don’t sell fire wood/kindling onsite but the garage down the road sells it. Worth picking some up en route. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future, thanks so much :)

Weekend Trip to Over-the-Moon Luxury Shepherds Hut

This was our second stay at the shepherd’s hut and it was just as great as the first. It’s a lovely, peaceful spot and really well looked after. We also tried the eggs from their hens this time – they were delicious!

Weekend Trip to Bolmynydd Camping Park

Very clean and well kept site. Great views of surrounding mountains and only a 5 minute drive to abersoch town. Pitches are spacious and are clearly separated by hedges. I would highly recommend this place it’s one of the nicest we’ve stayed at. We only had a brief chat with the owners on arrival as we got there late but they were helpful and seemed like nice people.

Weekend Trip to Coastal Stay Camping

Lovely secluded spot with a rambling view down towards the sea. The grass plots are well maintained the small overall size of the site makes it a quiet and more intimate space to connect with the surroundings. We arrived in time to catch a couple of woodfired pizzas which were a perfect accompaniment to an open fire whilst watching the sunset. Marilyn and her husband were friendly, fun and sociable hosts to chat with. We were two bikers with small tents but this is on my list for a future return with a small camper van with the Mrs. She'll love it here.

Absolutely lovely little site, not too far from lake vyrnwy and the hosts were brilliant. Would 100% recommend for anyone looking to camp near lake vyrnwy

3 nights at Torrent Walk Campsite and Bunkhouse

It was a beautiful setting. The convenience of the supermarket and Starbucks just up the lane were very handy. And we braved it walking to Dolgellau with 1 pram, 2 toddlers and no pavement - not for the faint hearted!!

2 nights at Celtic Woodland Holidays

We stayed in Epynt and had a lovely couple of days. It was basic but very comfortable and had everything we needed. Double bed was very comfortable and the kids liked staying on the bunkbeds. The view from the balcony was beautiful, especially at sun set. We found it warm enough so didn’t need to use the log burner. The communal kitchen was great and the games room was a very welcome addition.

Weekend Trip to Celtic Woodland Holidays

Really enjoyed our stay in Poplys. The podcast was comfortable, warm and well equipped and the whole site was pretty and well thought out, with a good "amenity hub" which is particularly useful in inclement weather. The only slight issue we had was we found the temperature of the showers to be inconsistent and they seemed to start off warm but quite quickly get much colder. It should also be noted that the owners' dogs are free to wander the site which may be a concern for people who are nervous of dogs: one of them made my daughter and I jump when it appeared from the veranda of our pod as we returned one night from the bathroom (although it was perfectly friendly) and the other dog, which was more nervous, was by our car on two occasions when we wanted to access it and barked at us as we approached the car - it did back off when we got closer but some people might find that unnerving. Overrall we had a lovely stay and I'd be happy to return and also to recommend it to others.

3 nights at Bolmynydd Camping Park

This campsite is lovely! The facilities are immaculate and has everything you need. The grass is beautifully kept and the hedges between the pitches (which are huge!) are nice. Unfortunately while we were there, there was a pitch near us who were playing music despite the no music rule. The owner reminded them but they still played it, then we had to ask them twice after that politely for them to turn it down. This is a quiet campsite so bear that in mind when booking! Lots of things to see nearby, the tin man is a great one, and the aqua bar is yummy!!

2 nights at Over-the-Moon Luxury Shepherds Hut

Perfect getaway for me and my daughter. The hut is perfect, everything you could need and equipped and furnished beautifully. The views are stunning and the location is within easy reach of nature reserves and forests - spoilt for choice. It was so cosy and warm in the hut with the log burner lit and the fairy lights on. We will return! Thank you
